Since 1984, the first week of May has been recognized as National Correctional Officers Week, an opportunity to acknowledge the courage and dedication it takes to be a correctional professional. BI Incorporated celebrates our nation’s correctional professionals every day, and this Week serves as a special reminder for your service and sacrifice. We can’t thank you enough for all you do to enhance public safety in our communities. Please join us by extending your gratitude to these individuals for their service.
We join our partners at the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) to celebrate Pretrial, Probation, and Parole Supervision Week! This week, July 19th – 25th, we recognize the dedicated and passionate community corrections professionals all over America who help change the lives of those on community supervision. Faced with unprecedented times amidst the worldwide pandemic, these officers have proven their commitment to their communities by successfully adapting to a new virtual environment and embracing remote supervision technology. As we navigate through the uncertainties in the future, we are proud to provide innovative programs, tools, and solutions that support the officers tasked with providing community public safety. We appreciate all that they do for our communities and would like to say, ‘Thank You’!

Amidst the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Correctional Leaders Association (CLA) has published a list of partner solutions and support, serving as a guide and valuable resource to help correctional industry professionals promote social-distancing, enhance public safety, and navigate their way through this crisis. Visit the resource page.
The CLA COVID-19 Available Resources page compiles multiple vital resources and serves as a one-stop-shop filled with pertinent, time-sensitive information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and many other esteemed organizations, including National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and National Institute of Corrections (NIC). Also included on this page are links to state agency websites for their respective COVID-19 updates and news releases. With many news reports circulating the media, it’s easy for individuals to lose track of accurate information. CLA encourages all correctional leaders to visit this webpage daily to keep up-to-date on available solutions to help meet your complex and changing needs.
BI Incorporated has partnered with the CLA to share information about our products, including a link to our BI SmartLINK® mobile tool. SmartLINK is a practical, affordable, and social-distancing approved method to securely monitor clients via Virtual Case Management with Video Conferencing. BI Incorporated has provided reliable and cost-effective Electronic Monitoring solutions for over 30 years. We encourage the public to continue following the CDC’s recommendations and warnings, limit your risk of exposure, and remain vigilant amid this pandemic.
